The Labour Department, Haryana has officially revised the minimum wages for all scheduled employments across the state with effect from 1st July 2025, based on the rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
This revision ensures that workers’ wages continue to align with inflation and the rising cost of living.
As per the Haryana Government’s notification dated 21 October 2015, the minimum wages are revised twice every year — in January and July — according to changes in the All-India Consumer Price Index (AICPI).
For the half-year ending June 2025, the average CPI has increased by 7.8 points, resulting in a 0.23% increase in the minimum wages for all categories of workers under Section 5(2) of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
Applicability & Compliance
This revision applies to all scheduled employments under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 within Haryana.
All employers are advised to:
- Display the updated minimum wage rates on the establishment notice board.
- Update wage registers, payslips, and payroll records accordingly.
- Ensure that no employee is paid below the revised rate from 01.07.2025.
