The Government observed that the first COVID-19 advance has been a great help to the EPF members during the pandemic. Therefore in view of the current pandemic situation, the Government of India again allows a EPF member a second Covid-19 advance from its EPF account to help employees in case of financial difficulties due to the Covid-19.

The process to claim second Covid-19 is similar to the last process;

–       A person can obtain a second COVID-19 advance from its EPF balance up to three months of basic salary plus dearness allowance, or 75 per cent of the balance standing in its account, whichever is less.

–       This advance is non-refundable, and the person will not have to deposit the withdrawn money back into its EPF account. 

–       Employees KYC i.e. Aadhar, PAN and Bank account should be linked with Employees UAN

–       The claim will be settled within 3 working days.
