The Government announced Atma Nirbhar Bharat Yojana in November, 2020 to form job creation in the country. As per scheme establishment covered under EPF Act will get subsidy for all new employees, subject to some conditions. The scheme will be operational till 30th June 2021. The Central Government will give subsidy by way of EPF contributions for two years in respect of new eligible employees, subject to some conditions.
Now The Labour Ministry has issued guidelines to avail benefit under the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana, clarifying the government will only contribute to new employees earning wages up to Rs 14,999/- a month as defined under the Employees Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act .
